Legal Practice

Ms. Allen limits her practice to family, juvenile and crossover criminal law matters including divorce, custody/parenting time, post-decree modification, child support, paternity, domestic abuse, adoption, grandparents' rights, third-party custody, child abuse/neglect (Child in Need of Protection or Services (CHIPS) ), juvenile delinquency, harassment restraining orders, and orders for protection. Ms. Allen has a special interest in juvenile court, and in representing men in contested custody cases. She has successfully handled thousands of cases at all stages of district court and administrative court litigation and mediation, as well as successfully arguing at the Minnesota Court of Appeals.

Ms. Allen has twice been quoted by the Associated Press and has offered continuing legal education on representing men in high conflict custody litigation.
